This did not work

I gave it a try before ordering some tempered glass glues/new protector. What could go wrong, right? It's just oil, I can just clean it with alcohol. Welp. It worked. As he said, idk why. I made sure the oil is pushed out from beneath the glass and cleaned it with windex and cloth afterwards. Still ok.

I got this tablet 2nd hand with Lineage 18.1 installed - can I use this method to root? Been working with PC's for 20 yrs+ but Android is sooo frickin convoluted. So many restrictions & complexity. I assumed the custom OS would already have root and I could avoid this shit, but no, of course it doesn't.
